Nachbarschaftstreff Eisenbahnstraße – Who We Are

We are not professionals!
We are a group of people living in this neighborhood who are willing to support our neighbors and anybody seeking help with problems concerning paperwork or other bureaucratic tasks. You can come to our office at Eisenbahnstraße 113 every Monday from 4 pm to 7 pm without needing an appointment. Our help is completely free of charge. The office offers free Wi-Fi and a printer; in case you just need some quick copies or prints, you are welcome to use them as well.

What We Do

We help you with:

• Understanding your letters and paperwork
• Filling out forms
• Renewing your residence permit (the only service we offer concerning the “Ausländerbehörde”)
• Filling out applications
• Organizing your paperwork
• Writing emails and letters
• Making important phone calls
• Booking appointments
• Arranging debt installment plans

We help you with concerns involving the following organizations and services:

• Jobcenter
• Arbeitsamt
• Familienkasse
• Krankenkasse (health insurance)
• Schools and kindergartens
• Landlords and rental companies

What We Cannot Help You With

• “Einbürgerung” (German Naturalisation )
• Searching for accommodation or ats to rent
• Tax returns
• Self-employment and business matters
• Debt counselling
• Long-term case support
• Accompanying you to of cial appointments with authorities or any other kind of appointment

Languages

• We all speak German and English.
• Some of us also speak French, Italian, or Spanish.
• We sometimes have an interpreter available for Persian (Dari/Farsi).
